Leon has known some of the team since childhood and we have brothers and even brother in-laws working alongside each other.
We share the same values and interest, both in work and life and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Leon Gruchy
DIRECTOR
I am Leon Gruchy, owner and director of LG Building. I am passionate about providing my clients with an enjoyable and stress-free building experience.
I believe complete customer satisfaction is a non-negotiable.
I began my apprenticeship, straight out of school, with a small custom builder and completed it, equipped with the carpentry skills necessary to be a residential chippy.
The following few years were spent sub-contracting to luxury multimillion dollar home builders, where I was able to hone my skills in large scale residential construction, client relations and project management. Working for builders of this calibre instilled in me the important skill of attention to detail that LG Building is known for today.
As a Registered Master Builder and a Licenced Building Practitioner I can assure you the LG Building experiences smooth and stress-free.
When I am not working, you will find me spending time with my beautiful family, on the mountain bike tracks, 4WDingin my GQ Patrol or working on my Datsun 1600.

Tim Lovett
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Tim ‘not Jim’ helps to coordinate our projects. He is the one scheduling everyone where they need to be. Tim ensures materials arrive and that all things are running smoothly.
When he’s not onsite you will find him spending time with his wife and two young kids, carving boomerangs, making salami and riding his mountain bike.
Ardy Waddell
FORREMAN / CARPENTER
Ardy’s onsite knowledge and commitment to quality is a credit to himself, and to us. He is the one ‘getting it done’ and making sure everyone else is too. Ardy is always a favourite onsite with the clients!
He’s a husband, a dad to three young kids and a dog, he rides skateboards, barracks for Sydney Swans and is our team jokester.
Mick Lovett
CARPENTER
Mick brings leadership, logic and practical know-how to each job. He has a laser eye for detail, a passion for high quality work and always has a smile on his face.
When he’s not slinging a hammer, Mick spends time with his fiancée and their two cat babies, is a fierce CrossFit junkie and loves hanging out with his mates.
Brett Wicking
CARPENTER / FABRICATOR
Brett, Bretty, Wick, The Wick, he answers to them all! A true all-rounder, he knows his way around a jobsite. When he isn’t on the work site, you’ll find him working with steel….he’s a magician and can create anything you can design!

Sarah Gruchy
iNTERIOR DECORATOR
After spending over a decade working in the travel
industry, Sarah took a change of direction and
combined her passion for interiors, creativity and
colour to become an interior Decorator. Sarah has experience in property styling and visual merchandising, along with interior decorating.
You may recognise Sarah from an earlier photo. Leon
and Sarah are a team both at work and at home, working together, they create truly stunning homes.
Sarah consults with our clients, assisting with the
selection of fittings, finishes and colours and advising
on the latest trends in the interior space.
Sarah has an eye for contemporary design and a love of curating beautiful, yet liveable spaces.
